Betty Joy Kapp, 81, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 3, 1941 in East Liverpool, Ohio to Taylor and Bonna Vear Stiteler.
She was a graduate of Beaver Local High School, Class of 1959. On August 3, 1968, she married her love, J. Michael Kapp, who was established as an attorney.
Betty was employed by the C.I.A. She had many interests and hobbies including yoga, bowling, golf, tennis, traveling, fine dining, and watching Steelers and Michigan Football. She loved the Hallmark Channel and Food Network, fantasy football and March Madness. She was always there for her family and her friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, J. Michael Kapp; and her grandson Michael Kapp. She is survived by her sons, Ryan and Sean Kapp; her brother Larry Stiteler; her nieces and nephews Jake, Christian and Talara Stiteler and Jessica Stiteler Pierre; her grandson Christian Kapp; her "adopted" son Danny Brobst; and her dog Stella Blue.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 5, 2023 from 2 o'clock until 4 o'clock in the afternoon at Fuller Metz Cremation and Funeral Services, 3740 Del Prado Boulevard South, Cape Coral, Florida 33904. The Funeral Service will be Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 12 noon also at Fuller Metz.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations may be made in Betty's memory to Hope Hospice or The Jimmy V. Foundation (V.org).
