EAST LIVERPOOL -- Thomas O. Kiger, 84, of East Liverpool passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at East Liverpool City Hospital ER.
Tom was born in Kodal, WV on June 20, 1939 a son of the late Jerry and Ruby (LeMasters) Kiger. He worked at Crucible Steel for 19 years then as a pump operator at the Newell Company. Tom was a veteran of the Navy. He enjoyed gardening and loved his tomatoes and peppers. Tom enjoyed playing cornhole and was the Pottery Festival champion 3 times. Preceding Tom in death was his son Gregory S. Kiger; granddaughter Tiarra "T." Kiger and brother Ralph Kiger.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, whom he married October 13, 1972, Delaina "Dee" (Jones) Kiger; two sons Tom Kiger and Mike Kiger and his wife Melissa; daughter Valerie Kiger; six grandchildren Shawna Kiger Yerkey and her husband Jonathan, Gregory S. Kiger and his wife Ellen, Jedidiah Wilson, Jonathan Roudabush, Dylan Kiger and Devin Kiger; several great grandchildren and brother Joseph Kiger and his wife Nondis.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday where the family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Rev. Dr. Stephen Cramer will conduct a service at the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens where Tri State Veterans Burial Group will provide military honors.
