James ‘Todd’ Smith

James “Todd” Smith, 52, of Chester, passed away on July 23, 2023.

He was born December 8, 1970 to James and Betty (Mehaffey) Smith of Chester.

Todd graduated in 1989 from Oak Glen High School. He worked as a Lead Estimator for Sayre Electric. He was an avid Notre Dame Fan.

In addition to his parents, left to cherish his memories are two sons, Chase Smith of Chester and Torrin Smith of Chester; three daughters, Jadyn Smith of Chester, Sydney Smith of Chester and Jersey Smith of Chester; also by Lisa (Six) Smith; a brother, Aaron Smith and fiancee, Jennifer Rogers of Chester; nephews and nieces, Kieran, Liam , Hannah and Elynn.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 28, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm, at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, W.Va., where funeral service will be held Saturday, July 29 at 11am. Interment will follow in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens, Newell, W.Va.

Todd gave a gift of life thru-organ donation.
