Kenneth C. Unger

1944-2023

Kenneth C. Unger, 79, of Chester, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, June 19, 2023, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born on April 9, 1944, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late John and Wilma Sayre Unger.

Kenny was also preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Bud Brown.

He was a graduate of Chester High School. Kenny was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was formerly employed at St. Joe and most recently retired from Crown and Cork Seal.

Kenny had a kind heart and was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was the founder of the "Romeo's Club", which consisted of retired men going out for a bite to eat.

Kenny will be deeply missed by his first and last love, Sandy Karnes. He will also be missed by his sister, Charlene Brown; stepchildren, Tammy Kanten (Dale) Virginia Beach, Teresa Bartos (Mark) of Harleysville, PA. and Tonya Garrett (Mike) of Chesapeake, VA.; grandchildren, Jordan Bartose and Mark Carrier and loving niece and nephew.

Friends may visit with the family 2 hours prior to the memorial service from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM.

Pastor Bob Macek will celebrate Kenny's life, Friday, June 23. 2023, at Arner Funeral Chapel at 1:00 PM. At the conclusion of the service a continued time of remembrance will be held at the Chester Methodist Church. Kenny's family suggest wearing your favorite Pirates or Steelers attire.
