New Waterford- Hubert E. Congo, 86, passed away June 24, 2023, at the East Liverpool City Hospital.
Hubert was born August 9, 1936, in Portland, OH, son of the late Ernest and Sarah Pratt Congo.
He resided in New Waterford since 1991, having lived in East Liverpool prior.
Hubert retired from East Liverpool City Hospital after 46 years, where he worked as Director of Housekeeping. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in East Palestine.
Hubert is survived by a son, Mark (Patty) Congo of East Liverpool; two daughters, Julie Adkins and Kemberly (Bruce) Mort both of East Liverpool; four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a sister Mildred Elliot.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Bonnie (Wise) Congo in 2019.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 4:00-6:00 PM at the Linsley-Royal Funeral Home in East Palestine. A private burial will be held at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens.
