EAST LIVERPOOL -- Cynthia Wilson, 76, of East Liverpool, passed away June 10, 2023.
Born August 29, 1946, in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Minnie (Oyster) Gatchell.
Cynthia was a social worker for Community Action. She was a 1964 graduate of Oak Glen High School, a majorette, a band member playing the flute and piccolo. She graduated in 1965 from the East Liverpool Beauty School and attended Kent State. She also was a member of the Lions Club.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Kay Wilson, a brother, Jack Gatchell.
Surviving are two daughters, Heather Chiconella of East Liverpool and Holly (Mark) VanDyke of Calcutta; a son, John (Tracey) Monroe of Texas; six grandchildren, Christopher, David, Katelyn, Sarah, Grace and Molly; four great-grandchildren, Zach, Evan, Austin and Emmett and one on the way Alina.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2023, from 4 p.m. until time of memorial service at 6 p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, WV.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the local food shelters.
