WELLSVILLE – Nianne Marie Hancock, 74, of Wellsville, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born January 20, 1949, in Steubenville, the daughter of the late Ruth I. (Morrow) and Leonard C. Dilley, Sr. In addition to her parents, Nianne was preceded in death on March 18, 2017, by her husband, Harold H. Hancock, whom she married September 11, 1998. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Junior, Keith, and Christopher Dilley.
Nianne earned her GED and was previously employed in piece work for the former Sterling China Company. She was a member of the American Legion Post 70 in Wellsville and the East Liverpool Moose Lodge. Nianne was a member of the Living Well Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Pamela (Michael) Broughton of Killeen, TX; two sons: Roy and Raymond Duffield, both of Wellsville; her special granddaughter, Amber Brown of East Liverpool, who loved and cared for Nianne; three sisters: Sharon Dilley, Deb Fisher, and Christina Shimmel, all of Toronto; and four brothers: Terry Dilley and Ronald Morrow, both of Toronto, Ernie Dilley of Oregon, and John Dilley of Xenia, OH. Also surviving are four step-daughters: Dana Arnette and Heather Brown, both of Wellsville, Zina Hancock of East Liverpool, and Lisa Hudson of Hammondsville; one step-son, Randy Friess of East Liverpool; thirteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held at 6:00 pm on Friday, May 5, 2023, at the Roberts Funeral Home with Pastor Dirk Hall of the Living Well church officiating.
Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service on Friday at the Roberts Funeral Home, 631 Main Street in Wellsville.
