Leslie Vaughn Caudill was born June 27th, 1966 to Betty (Phillips) Caudill and the late Leslie Caudill in Ponca City, Oklahoma. "Les" went to be with the lord Monday, May 15th. He left the earth unexpectedly surrounded by family. He was a loving father, husband, pappy and friend. Les was a proud registered Native American with the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Les was a Beaver Local Highschool graduate of the class of 1984 and a member of the wrestling team. Les went on to start a 1 man-portable welding business that he, alongside his mother, grew into a well-established business, PWS Welding. He was the owner and operator for over 25 years.
Les was the kind of man who saw the good in everybody, even when we believed there was none. He was a god-fearing man who prayed every day and we know he was welcomed into heaven with open arms. Les will be remembered by his family for his cooking and unconditional love. His favorite things to do was spend time with his grandbabies and mow the lawn.
Les married the love of his life, Melissa (Crummitt) Caudill August 17th, 1990. Les would say it was love at first sight when he came into the local ice cream shop and Melissa served him a milkshake. Melissa would say, she fell in love with him after he spilled it and mopped it up himself. They dated and wed all within 3 months, and have been happily married for 32 years.
Les is proceeded in death by his father, Leslie L. Caudill (Millsboro, DE) and Grandmother, Roxy Phillips (East Liverpool, OH).
Les was a true family man and is survived by his wife Melissa Caudill, his mother Betty Caudill (East Liverpool, OH), his Aunt Loyce Crow (Winfield, KS), his 3 brothers, Brett Hambleton (Diana) (East Liverpool, OH), Dave Hambleton (East Liverpool, OH), and Weslie Caudill (Augusta, GA), His 5 children Derik Caudill (Columbiana, OH ), Cierra Bedelyon (Nic) (Cinnaminson, NJ ), Chelsea Simpson (Kody) (East Palestine, OH), Jade Caudill(East Liverpool, OH) and Jordyn Caudill(Greer, SC). 7 grandchildren with 1 on the way that he was so excited to meet, 5 nieces and 4 nephews that he loved like his own, His brother and sister in law Bill and Tonia Witherow (Chester, WV), his father and mother in law Barbara and Joe Crummitt ( Chester, WV ) and so many friends that he considered family.
A celebration of life will be held Friday, May 19th at 6 PM at Firestone Park 338 East Park Avenue, Columbiana, OH, 44408. Pavilion #4 South End of the Lake. All family and friends are welcome to join. Les is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
