EAST LIVERPOOL -- Charles L. Scott, 90, of East Liverpool passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023 at East Liverpool City Hospital.
Charles was born in Hope, Pennsylvania on May 27, 1933 a son of the late Paul and Ruth (Twaddle) Scott. He was a veteran of the Army proudly serving at Fort Knox in Kentucky and Fort Meade in Maryland. Charles worked with his dad as a plasterer as a young man. He also worked at Willard Davis service station then drove truck for over 30 years. Charles was a member of the Longs Run Trinity Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed bluegrass music, dancing, and showing old tractors. Charles at one time owned his own plane. He loved being an uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Charles in death were his wife Alice C. (Luke) Scott; brother Donald Scott; three sisters Gladys Barnhart, Olive Ryan and Pearl Hampson and two nephews Robert Ryan and Donald Scott.
Left to cherish his memory are his nieces Cynthia Millhorn and her husband Ron and Jo Ann Neimeyer and her husband Mark and Kay Ryan and great nieces and nephews Shannon and Bill Sullivan, Danny Ryan, Lisa and Tim Farmer, Chuck and Jessie Millhorn, Jeff and Melissa Millhorn and Juli and Mark Tice.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Wednesday where the family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tom Enochs will conduct a service at the funeral home on Thursday at 10 a.m. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park where Tri State Veterans Burial Group will provide military honors.
