1933-2023
Rose M. Logan, 89, of Calcutta passed away at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital on Wednesday, March 29, 2023.
She was born on April 7, 1933 in East Liverpool, Ohio, the daughter of the late Margaret Bonidie Pucci and Nicholas Pucci. After graduating from Wellsville High School, she worked for the Review as a teletype setter operator. She then went to work for Edison Local Schools until her retirement.
Rose loved gardening, cooking and collecting recipe books. She lived in the country most of her life where all her nieces and nephews loved to visit. She enjoyed being outside in the sunshine, walking and reading the paper on the back deck. She had an unlimited amount of energy and a pioneering spirit.
She will be forever in the hearts of those who were dear to her.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Cindy Mossgrove of Calcutta, with whom she resided; two sisters, Fran McLaughlin of Florida and Betty Lona, of Columbus; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Bodie.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by four siblings, Kate Buck, Marge Ceneviva, Frank "Sonny" Pucci and Nick "Bo" Pucci. Also preceding her in death was her husband, Claude Logan, and her son-in-law, Don Mossgrove.
Family visitation will be held at Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists-Martin Chapel in Calcutta on Friday, April 7, 2023 from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by visitation for friends from noon to 2 p.m. Family service will follow at 2 p.m. Rose will be laid to rest at a later time in Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Hammondsville.
