Lori (Bissell) Pickering, 58, of Kittanning, passed away surrounded by family in her home on Monday, March 20, 2023.
Born February 23, 1965 in Washington, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Donald and Diane (Weaver) Bissell.
Lori was a lifelong resident of the area, and a RN at ACMH for over 34 years, making many lifelong friends with her coworkers. Her kindness and strength of spirit always shown brightly. She enjoyed "lap-sits" with her puppies. She especially loved her family time and family vacations.
In addition to her parents, Lori was preceded in death by her cherished children, Jessica Mangir in 2021, and Matthew Pickering in 2014.
She is survived by her beloved husband David Pickering of Kittanning; daughter Emily (Cameron) Burns of Greenville, PA.; in-laws John and Frances Pickering of Wellsville, OH; sisters, Sue Songer of Clarion, and Amy (Chris) Milotte of Ford City; brothers, Michael (Linda) Bissell of Ford City and Scott (Joanne) Bissell of Pittsburgh; brothers-in-law Mike and Vince Pickering, both of Wellsville, OH.; her canine babies, Annie, Gracie, and Hopie; nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family; many great friends, including all of her hospital and cancer center buddies.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 23, 2023 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., and Friday, March 24, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. in the Mantini Funeral Home, Inc., 701 Sixth Avenue, Ford City. Additional visitation will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. in Emmanual Heilman Lutheran Church, 854 Garretts Run Road, Ford City, with Pastor Eric Damonn as officiant.
