East Liverpool, Ohio – James Edward Browning, 61, of Summerset Drive passed away Monday, March 20th, 2023 at 7:02 p.m. at the Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania following a lengthy illness.
Born September 27th, 1961 in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Myrtlene Satterfield and of Thomas C. Browning, Sr. of Tucson, Arizona.
Jim spent most of his lifetime in this area after retiring from the United States Navy. He also worked as a substitute teacher in this community. He was a member of the DAV Chapter in East Liverpool and spent many years coaching softball while his children were playing. He was an amazing husband and father who loved his family and his dogs.
A graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1980, he then earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Norfolk State University.
Survivors include his wife, Diana Halfhill Browning, whom he married October 30th, 1980, at home. There are two daughters, Jamie Brown and her husband, Brandon of Rockhill, South Carolina and Elizabeth Stachowski of East Liverpool and her partner Colin Morris; one son, Aaron Householder and his wife, Billie of Salineville, Ohio; and one son-in-law, Steven Stachowski of East Liverpool.
In addition, there are six grandchildren, Zachary, Evan, Chloe, Baylee, Isabella and Nicholas; and one sister, Krista Roberts and her husband, Jeremiah of East Liverpool.
Besides his mother, he was also preceded in death by two sons, Joshua James Browning and Zachery Tyler Browning; one grandson, Ravyn; and one brother, Thomas C. Browning, Jr.
Friends may visit the family on Saturday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio.
