With sad and heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father Samuel E (Bear) Alexander, 76, of Negley, OH.
Born April 4, 1946, in Ambridge PA he was the son of the late Jean Morris, Samuel H Alexander, and step-father Carl Morris.
Sam retired from Nova Chemicals with 30-plus years of service. He was an avid sports fan of the Steelers and Pirates for many decades. He also enjoyed life with his 4 Shih-Tzu's which brought him much joy and companionship.
He is survived by his children Jamie(Eric) Bowen Hookstown PA Erika (Dale) Harris, Moon Twp., Tom (Megan) McNear, Negley OH, Brad (Ashley) McNear, East Liverpool, OH, and Jessie McNear, Chippewa, PA. Also, surviving are his grandchildren Logan, Kiera, Sydney, Brady, Eva McNear, Zane Harris, and Allison Bowen. Survived by siblings Barbara (Don) Johnson, Negley OH, Patty (Mike Moniewski) Tionesta, PA, Ernie Corsi, Beaver, PA, Jeanne (Terry) Constantine, New Waterford OH. Colleen (Tony) Bradley, Cumming GA, and Helen Morris Fairdealing, MO. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.
Sam was preceded in death by his sister, Linda Corsi, ,granddaughter, Hannah Searight and Kathy Miller.
Per Sam's wishes, no services are planned at this time. He is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
