Kenneth "Ken" E. Pryor, 77, of Chester, passed unexpectedly, Thursday, February 9, 2023, at his residence.
Born, September 16, 1945, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late, Norman and Gladys E. Halstead Pryor.
Ken was also preceded in death by his brother, Roger Pryor.
He was a graduate of Chester High School Class of 1963. After high school, Ken enlisted in the United States Air Force serving in Vietnam as a military policeman. He studied aviation and received a pilot's license. Ken married the love of his life, Penny Spurlock Pryor on October 17, 1969. Ken later retired from Nova Chemical.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed flying airplanes, kayaking, and shooting guns. The greatest joy in his life was spending time with his grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Penny; son, Scott Pryor and his wife, Amy of New Cumberland; daughter, Julie Zoellers and her husband, Grover of New Cumberland; brother, Marlin Pryor and his wife, Sandi of St. Augustine, FL. Ken will also be missed by his grandchildren, Kristen Pryor, Chelsea Stover (Randall), Ashley Flowers (Avery), Makayla Zoellers, Lucas Zoellers, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Per Ken's wishes, no services are planned at this time. He is in the care of the Arner Funeral Chapel.
