Melody K. "Mel" Yeager Duffield, 61, of Wellsville, passed away at home on Thursday, January 26, 2023 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Mel was born in East Liverpool on June 15, 1961, the daughter of the late Robert and Nancy (Chrisman) Yeager. She was a 1979 graduate of Wellsville High School and lived in the area her entire life. Mel was employed at Homer Laughlin China Company and was a member of the Eagles Post 772, American Legion Post 70, and VFW Post 5647.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Raymond Duffield, Sr., whom she married in 1995; her children, Denny (LeeAnne) Byers, of Petersburg, OH, and Michelle Byers, of East Liverpool; and her sister, Julie Williams, of Chester. Melody also leaves behind 7 grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Mel was preceded in death by: her son, Donald Byers, and her brothers: Jeff, Curt, and Bob Yeager.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists-MacLean Chapel, on Riverside Avenue, Wellsville. Mel will be laid to rest in Spring Hill Cemetery.
