Etta Mae Mazurek was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She went to be with the Lord after a short illness due to an underlying condition on December 27, 2022 after moving back home to East Liverpool, Ohio where she was residing with her granddaughter, Allison Clutter. She was 83 years old.
Etta Mae was born October 18, 1939 to the late John and Iverna (Jacobs) Cunningham in East Liverpool. She graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1957.
She married her late husband Joseph Mazurek on August 6, 1986 and the two enjoyed going dancing, spending time with family and friends, searching for seashells when they spent time in Florida for the winter, and enjoying their farm together in Hermitage, PA.
Etta Mae last worked for the East Liverpool City Tax Department for many years. She also worked in respiratory therapy at East Liverpool City Hospital and was a bus driver for Beaver Local Schools many years ago. She enjoyed attending services at Northside Community Church and was a lover of gospel music. Etta Mae loved her family most of all, and cherished all the time she spent with them.
Etta Mae will be missed by her family dearly. She is survived by 1 daughter and 3 sons. Kimberly Farnsworth-Clutter of Calcutta, Michael (Debbie) Robinson of Georgia, Richard Robinson of Newell, WV, and Jeffery (Tracy) Robinson of Georgia. Surviving siblings are Sandy Martin of Indiana, Floyd (Carol) Cunningham of Jacksonville, FL, Clyde Cunningham of Georgia, and Gary (Ushie) Cunningham of Georgia. As well as several extremely special grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Etta Mae is preceded in death by her brother Kenneth Cunningham, brother and sister-in-law David and Connie Cunningham, sister-in-law Marthaleen Cunningham, brother-in-law Butch Martin, and sister and brother-in-law Elizabeth and Don Nicholson.
Visitation hours will be held Friday, December 30, 2022 at Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists- Martin Chapel (Martin MacLean Altmeyer) in Calcutta from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3-5 p.m. with funeral services at 5 p.m. with Pastor Larry Rose from Northside Community Church officiating. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to be made to help cover funeral costs.
