Hazel Louise Powell was welcomed into heaven on the evening of Oct. 26, 2022.
Hazel was born on Dec. 27, 1945 to James and Emily Geneva Powell in Folsom, West Virginia. She lived in the area her whole life.
Hazel loved her family and although she had no children of her own, she took part in raising her many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, Hazel is preceded in death by her brother, Herman Powell, and her sisters, Mona Douglas, Izetta O'Hanlon and Dorothy Adkins.
Hazel leaves behind her brothers, James (Bud) Powell and his wife, Lora, of East Liverpool, and Charles Powell and his wife, Debbie, also of East Liverpool, as well as her sister, Dolores (June) Foden, and her brother-in-law, George Coles. Also surviving are her many nieces, nephews and great-nephews who will keep her alive in their hearts.
Friends and family are welcome to attend calling hours from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022 at the Martin Chapel of CARE Funeral & Cremation Specialists with a service following at 11 a.m. Hazel will be laid to rest next to her parents at Spring Grove Cemetery in East Liverpool.
