COLUMBUS -- Deborah D. Maple, 68, of East Liverpool passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, OH.
Deborah was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on March 1, 1954 a daughter of the late James E. and Ruth S. (Heckathorne) Chaffee. She was a member of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church. Deborah enjoyed gardening, photography and scrapbooking. She was a graduate of East Liverpool High School class of 1972 and Geneva College class of 1991. Deborah was a school teacher for 21 years working for East Liverpool Christian School and the Beaver Local School District.
Preceding Deborah in death were her two brothers Dwight and Pierce Chaffee and two sisters Joan R. McNicol and Linda K. Chaffee.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 46 years, whom she married December 31, 1975, Jay R. Maple; two sons Matthew J. Maple and Jordan E. Maple and his wife Karla both of East Liverpool; grandson Raymond Householder and his wife Kady of East Liverpool and brother Dan Chaffee of Beaufort, NC.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Sunday where the family will be present from 1-3 and 5-7 p.m. Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a service at the Funeral Home on Monday at 11 a.m. Burial at Calcutta Cemetery.
Following the service, friends and family will gather at the Beechwood Methodist Fellowship Hall on Pennsylvania Avenue for a time of fellowship.
