WELLSVILLE -- Mary Helen Wright, 76, of Wellsville passed away surrounded by family on the evening of Sunday, September 25, 2022 after a lengthy and hard fought battle with cancer.
Mary was born in East Liverpool on August 21, 1946 to the late Fred and Grace Mobley. Mary lived in the area her whole life, growing up in Wellsville and graduating from Wellsville High School in 1964. Shortly after high school, in 1966, she married the love of her life, Harold L. Wright Jr. The pair spent 44 happy years together until Harold's passing in 2010.
Mary worked at K-Mart for 23 years as a manager, and later as a bartender at the Wellsville VFW for 12 years until she retired in 2010.
Mary was known to be full of love and was one of the kindest, most generous souls. She always had a contagious smile and her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She loved everyone and treated anyone she met with the same care and compassion as if they were her own child. Her favorite thing to do was make people laugh. Mary's favorite activities included driving in the country and watching the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to her parents, Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Wright Jr.
Surviving is Mary's son, Gregory Wright of Wellsville, her sister, Naomi (Bill) Wolf of East Liverpool, and her brothers Dale (Gina) Mobley of Florida, Fred Mobley of Wellsville, Paul Mobley of Mexico, Willard (Janet) Mobley of Arizona, and Melvin Mobley of Wellsville and his children Dana with her son Dylon, and Melvin Jr. with his children Tyler and Sheldon.
Mary leaves behind many nieces and nephews, including Denny Jr. Mary loved each and every one of them. Also surviving are her two beloved cats, Stubby and Stripes.

Friends and family are welcomed for calling hours at the MacLean Chapel of CARE Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Wellsville from 5-7 p.m. with services following at 7 p.m. with Pastor Will Montgomery officiating.
