Denzel "Buck" Owens, 78, of New Cumberland, W.Va., passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022 at Wyngate in Weirton, W.Va.
He was born Dec. 19, 1943 in Doddridge County, W.Va., a son of the late Cecil and Hazel (Greathouse) Owens.
Denzel is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 31 years, Susan Owens; and two brothers, Clayton Donald Owens and Kenneth Owens.
He was retired from Weirton Steel Corp Blooming Mill with 31 years of service; was a member of the Knights Templar, an avid golfer and loved gardening and sharing with his neighbors, and attended House of Prayer in Calcutta, Ohio.
Denzel is survived by his loving daughters LaRena (David) Reed of East Liverpool, Ohio and LaVerne Owens of New Manchester, W.Va.; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Turley Funeral Home.
Services will be there Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022 at 2 p.m. with Pastor Kim Gadd officiating. Interment will follow in New Cumberland Cemetery.
