Thomas E. DeLauder Sr., 72, of East Liverpool, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at East Liverpool City Hospital following a lengthy illness.
Born July 26, 1950, in East Liverpool, he was the son of the late Ersel and Grace Henthorn DeLauder.
He was also preceded in death by his son who died at birth, Michael DeLauder.
A graduate of Wellsville High School Class of 1968, he was a carpenter by trade, belonging to the Carpenters Union Local 171.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman who could be found canoeing, camping and hiking. He had a love for building and racing dune buggies and collecting and racing slot cars. Tom was a faithful member of the Northside Community Church where was actively involved in their Men's Bible study where he found a sense of brotherhood and camaraderie.
He will be deeply missed by the love of his life, Barbara Rondello-DeLauder; daughters Tammi Phillips of Lisbon and Michelle DeLauder of Aberdeen, Wash.; a son, Thomas DeLauder Jr. of Chester and sister Beth Bonifate of Wellsville. Six grandchildren, Michael Phillips Jr. (Sarah McIntosh), Alyssa Rayle (Greg Rayle), Helena Shaw (Teddy Shaw), Alex Jones, Halie DeLauder and Cameron DeLauder as well as two great-grandchildren, Abraham Rayle and Ellianna Shaw, also survive.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, Sept. 1, 2022, at Northside Community Church at 11 a.m. Tom's funeral arrangements were entrusted with the Arner Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the Northside Community Church of East Liverpool, Ohio.
