Leonard Thomas, 88, of Vanport, passed away, July 11, 2022, at Heritage Valley Beaver.
Born on May 10, 1934, he was the son of the late Raymond and Anna Maines Thomas, Leonard served as a Private 1st Class for the U.S. Army from July 1, 1957 - July 12,1959, with an Honorable Discharge. He was a Kiln worker for 44 years at Ferro Pottery East Liverpool, Ohio.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia L. Summers Thomas; brothers, Ray Thomas and Bob Thomas; sisters, Elsie Dapollonia, Betty Six, Dorothy Ferguson and Helen Bing.
He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Lori Ann Thomas, of East Liverpool, OH, his step-son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Melissa Ziegler, of Chippewa; a brother Ed (Arlene) Thomas; his five grandchildren; Joe Thomas, B.J. Wagner, Nathaniel (Brittany) Ziegler, Gabrielle Ziegler, and Joshua Ziegler; and his two great-grandchildren, Honesty Thomas and Tyler Reuter.
Friends will be received on Monday July, 18, 2022 from 1 p.m. until the time of service at 3 p.m., followed by Full Military Rites by the Beaver County Special Unit, in the Noll Funeral Home Inc., 333 Third Street, Beaver, PA 15009. Online condolences may be shared at www.nollfuneral.com.
Private interment will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry.
