EAST LIVERPOOL -- Daniel C. "Danny" Johnson had a great zest for life! He always tried to make the most of any situation and often said that" if you aren't having fun, it's your own fault". He was happiest in times of fellowship with friends and family. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, and traveling with his fiance, Laurel. Some of his most fond memories though were at his happy place, the beach.
Danny passed, surrounded by his family, at his home in East Liverpool on Saturday, July 2, 2022, from a difficult battle with cancer.
69 years old, he was born in Rochester, PA., on July 16, 1952. He was the son of the late Robert Dale. and Mary Elizabeth Mason Doughty.
Danny was a retired engineer at MHF in Wampum, PA., and graduated from Western Beaver High school and Penn State University. He was a Christian by faith and an active member of the East Liverpool Moose Lodge #122.
His infant son Bryan Curtis Johnson brothers, Ronald Johnson, George Doughty, and Robert Dale Doughty Jr. preceded him in death along with his parents.
Danny's cherished family members are his children, Daniel Jason Johnson of South Carolina, Rozan (John) Norris of Ohioville, PA., and Nathan (April) Johnson of South Carolina, his fiance, Laurel Montgomery, and her children, Rachelle (Larry) Stollenwerk and Suzanne (Stu) Davis, and his grandchildren, Jocelynn Norris, Adalynn Johnson, Larry III, Nathan, and Kyle Stollenwerk, Robbie Byrd III, Anthony Rasberry, and Alijah Bailey. Also surviving are his sisters, Cheryl (John) Vojnovich of Ohioville, Margaret Vojnovich of East Liverpool, and his brother, James Johnson of East Liverpool.
Friends may visit with his family on Wednesday, July 6, from 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester where Pastor Dirk Hall will conduct services at 7 p.m.
