Phyllis Jean Keyes, 84, went to be with our Lord and Savior June 28, 2022. She was born in Richwood, WV, February 15,1938 to the late William Homer and Kathleen V. Leeson Cunningham.
She moved to Shippingport, PA as a young girl and this is where she met the love of her life, Roy E. Keyes, Sr. They were married on January 22, 1955 and were happily married for 67 years. Phyllis was a homemaker and an amazing mother who raised eight beautiful children as well as raising six grandchildren as her own.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father along with brothers: Ernest Ray, Charles (Big Chuck) and John Cunningham, and sisters: Stella Miller, Ruby Cisco, and Shirley and Elsie Mae Cunningham.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 67 years, Roy Keyes Sr., along with her brothers William and Douglas Cunningham. She was the beloved mother of Jenny Keyes, Roy Keyes Jr. (Diana), Bill Keyes (Elma), Donny Keyes (Robin), Chuck Keyes (Marji), Cathy Joy (Bob), Debbie Marshall (George), and Tim Keyes (Penny) and her six grandchildren that she raised as her own: Doug Keyes (Heidi), Cindy Johnston (Raymond), Jobena Prencipe, Bobbi Jo Gibson (Ryan), Billy Keyes, and Timmy Keyes.
Throughout the years, she was blessed with 22 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great grandchildren.
At her request there will be no calling hours or services. Care Funeral & Cremation Specialists in Calcutta will be handling arrangements. The family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
