WOOSTER -- Janis Marie Schmid, 67, of Wooster, OH passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital Weirton Medical Center.
She was born June 14, 1954 in Las Vegas, NV a daughter of the late Richard Albert & Vera Mae (Armstrong) Rowland.
Janis was a retired Nurse from Wooster Community Hospital; and was a member of Nessly Chapel UMC.
Surviving are her children, Scott (Amber) Schmid of Dayton, OH and Ryan (Kelly) Schmid of Raleigh, NC; her brother Richard M. (Terri) Rowland of McKees Rocks, PA; 6 grandchildren Alexander, Cameron, Cora, Blake, Madison and Taylor Schmid.
Friends will be received Thursday from 6 – 8 pm at Turley Funeral Home.
Services will be there on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bob Macek officiating. Interment will follow in New Cumberland Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Autoimmune Association or to Nessly Chapel United Methodist Church in New Cumberland.
