GEORGETOWN -- Dolores May Conkle,87 of Georgetown (Greene twp.) passed peacefully Friday morning May 20, 2022 at Fox's; Chester W.V. Born December 21, 1934 in Follansbee, W.V., she was a daughter of the late Louis and Hazel (Bailey) Hoskins Sr.
A homemaker, Dolores attended Sacred Heart Catholic church in Chester, she enjoyed horseback riding, square dancing, bingo, camping, floral design and gardening, she worked at the Southside High School in the cafeteria retiring in 1993.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Roy H. Conkle on January 13, 2019, a brother Louis Hoskins Jr. and two sisters, Florence Bentley and Anna Robinson. Surviving are her children Bruce Conkle, Beverly and her husband Seth Fenner, Diana Gourley and Amy and her husband Jerome Thomas; a sister Eleanor Salter and her companion Art Frazier; a son in law, Dan Gourley; grandmother of six, Alaina, Justin, Brandon, Lindsy, Rachel and Natalie; great grandmother of 5, Charlotte, Lauren, Parker, Zachary and Sammy.
Family and friends are welcome to call at the Mcconnell Funeral Home 447 Pine St. Hookstown,Pa. 15050 on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where her service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Wilmer J. Olszewski of the Hookstown Free Methodist church will officiate. She will be laid to rest in the Mill Creek Hill Cemetery; Georgetown.
At the families request, it is asked that visitors wear masks if attending the visitation or service.
