EAST LIVERPOOL -- Charles "Mac" McCuen, 78, was born in East Liverpool, OH, to the late Charles A McCuen and Naomi Parker. Charles departed this life on Friday, May 13, 2022. Charles accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the Homegoing Service of his loving mother, Naomi.
Charles was a 1963 Stanton Local High School graduate and served in the Navy- USS ST Paul., station in San Diego, CA and Vietnam War Veteran. He retired from WA Sammis Plant after 40 years as a Boat Captain. Charles was a dedicated volunteer at the food pantry at the First Baptist Church in Wellsville, OH. He was an avid fisherman with a love for searching ancestry, basketball, gardening, and football.
He is preceded in his death by his parents Charles A and Naomi (Parker) McCuen and brother Keith Zapapha McCuen. He is remembered by his son, Charles (Pnut) Samra McCuen, grandchildren Chaz McCuen, Sharelle McCuen and Shanice McCuen, great-granddaughter Isabella Alvarado McCuen, all of Columbus, OH, siblings Terry (Vicki) McCuen of Wellsville, OH, Horace (Danita) Hampton of Steubenville, OH, Dawud (David) Abdullah of Atlanta, GA, Velva McCuen of Columbus, OH, Anita McCuen of East Liverpool, OH, Paula McCuen of Wellsville, OH, Charles A McCuen of Columbus, OH. Ex-wife Carolyn McCuen and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation is Saturday, May 21, 2022, at 10 a.m., at First Baptist Church, 1401 Center Street, Wellsville, OH 43968 with a funeral service at noon. Interment at Spring Hill Cemetery.
COVID protocol is recommended. Arrangements entrusted to Vinson Mortuary, Steubenville, OH.
