Mathew Charles Tusek

Matt was born to John and Dorothy Tusek in Salem Ohio. He grew up in the small town of West Point Ohio. The second of five children. Matt went to Beaver Local and graduated high school in 1969. In his early years, 1960 to 1972, Matt was in show business. He was the anchorman for the professional Acrobat act (The Tuseks). He traveled the country performing on television, circuses, sports shows, state fairs etc. It was one of the top Acrobat acts in the country at the time. This traveling would be in his blood forever. Matt moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1974. He loved the Pacific Northwest for all the outdoor activities that provided. He worked in the forest planting trees, thinning, and mushroom picking. Later he traveled the United States in a motor home extensively with his cousin Susan. Picking up odd jobs along the way. Matt was a free soul who loved people and in return, people loved him. He was a very kind and gentle soul. He also worked for Walmart for a decade before retiring. Matt had a full and happy life. Matt never married and has no children. He leaves behind his siblings: Kathleen Kennedy of Richmond Ohio, Mark and Mike Tusek and Tina Siria of Eugene OR. And Matt had many cousins and friends. Matt died from cancer at the age of 70. Thanks to Pete Moore Hospice House (cascade Hospice ) and Sacred Heart Hospice for their loving care. We all wish him well in his new travels. Matt will be sorely missed.
