EAST PALESTINE -- Naomi C. Armstrong Coleman Drum, 95, of East Liverpool went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Christian House in East Palestine.
Naomi was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on June 11, 1926 a daughter of the late Rev. Howard W. and Ethel (Murray) Armstrong. Naomi worked as a telephone operator for many years and was a proud member of Telephone Pioneers of America. She was a faithful church member, in the Oakland Free Methodist Church, and later in the East Liverpool First Church of the Nazarene.
Naomi enjoyed crocheting and bowling. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who took great pride and enjoyment in being a part of her family's lives.
Naomi was preceded in death by her first husband, whom she married March 13, 1943, Clarence W. Coleman and second husband, whom she married October 13, 1981, Leonard Drum. Naomi was also preceded in death by four sisters Francis Armstrong, Miriam Armstrong, Phyllis Ralph and Ruth Badger as well as three brothers Kent Armstrong, Richard Armstrong and Howard Armstrong. She was the last surviving sibling of her family. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Koreen "Korky" Drum, son-in-law William Cornell and brother-in-law Dean Badger.
Left to cherish her memory are two daughters Pam Smith and her husband Harry "Rusty" of East Liverpool and Andrea "Andee" Cornell of East Liverpool; stepson Dennis Drum of Fort Wayne, IN; eight grandchildren Pastor Jeff Smith and his wife Lisa, Jay Smith and his wife Kim, Jason Smith and his wife Holly, Carrie Howren and her husband Brian, William Cornell II and his wife Kristina, Eric Cornell and his wife Courtney, Amanda Milan and her husband Jon-Erik and Jeff Drum and his wife Marti; sixteen great grandchildren Joshua Smith and his wife Daniela, Bethany Hall and her husband Brian, Emily Smith, Justus Smith and his wife Ashley, Malkin Smith, Declan Smith, Noah Howren, Conner Howren, Liam Howren, Ranger Smith, Vita Smith, Olivia Cornell, Elyse Cornell, Alana Cornell, Logan Cornell, and Hannah Milan; two great great grandchildren Ezra and Norah Hall and sister-in-law Sue Armstrong.
Friends may visit Friday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Pastor Jeff Smith, her grandson, of Grace City Church will conduct a funeral service Friday 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial at Riverview Cemetery.
Immediately following the service a time of fellowship will held at the Grace City Church.
