Hervey Willis "Bill" Swearingen, 85, of New Cumberland, WV passed away Thursday, February 24, 2022 at The Peachtree Inn Chester, WV.
He was born January 14, 1937 in Weirton, WV a son of the late Elmer Willis & Ruth Elizabeth (McAtee) Swearingen. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia Viola "Patty" (Watson) Swearingen on February 13, 2022; a brother Elmer Paul Swearingen and a sister Ann Chamberlain.
Bill was a truck driver for the Teamsters and retired as a Business Agent for Local # 428; and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.
Surviving are his daughters Jody (Ralph) Mitchell of Aspen, CO and Marcy (Argyle) Dillon of Reynoldsburg, OH; his brother Robert (Dorothy) Swearingen of New Cumberland, WV; 5 Grandchildren and 6 Great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Monday from 10 am until time of services at 12 pm at Turley Funeral Home.
Services will be there Monday, February 28, 2022 at 12 pm with Pastor Sharmune Burgess and Pastor Robert Staub officiating. Interment will follow at New Cumberland Cemetery.
