Carol Etta (Louk) McLaughlin, an amazing mother and Mam-maw, peacefully joined God on February 24, 2022 with family by her side.
Carol was the daughter of the late Elzie and Ruth Louk of Calcutta, OH. In 2003 she retired from South Side School District where she had worked for 30 years. During her time there she worked at the Elementary as a custodian and food service staff member.
She was a lifelong member of the Hookstown Free Methodist Church and also served as a supporter of the Community Benefit Committee. She truly loved God, community, and her large family.
She will reunite in heaven with her late husband Wesley A. McLaughlin, daughter Barbara E. (McLaughlin) Parker, and two sisters Kay (Louk) Nale and Shirley (Louk) Eismon.
She is survived by two sons Wesley A. McLaughlin (Robbin) and Daniel W. McLaughlin (Brenda) both of Hookstown; 3 bothers, Ken, Ralph, and David; 2 sisters, Karen-Sue and Wanema; 6 grandchildren, Cadi (Jamie), Levi (Chelsea), Jeremiah (Jessica), Kristina (Nick), Mason (Jessica); and 8 great grandchildren.
Friends and Family are welcome to call at Mcconell Funeral Home, 447 Pine St., Hookstown, Pa., on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Services will be held on Tuesday at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the American Diabetes Association or St. Jude's Hospital.
