NEWELL -- Arliss H. Anders, 80, of Newell, passed away January 28, 2022.
She was born August 29, 1941 in East Liverpool, Ohio and raised in Chester. WV, by her parents, the late Hilburt and Verna (Finkbeiner) Streets.
She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Ruth Fogel and Gerry Smith; a brother, Albert Streets; and by her companion, Forrest Eubanks.
She was a member of the Buckeye VFW 12098 Auxiliary.
Arliss was a longtime resident at Buckeye Arizona, where she raised her three children.
Arliss was employed by Buckeye Union High School as a custodian and retired in 2005. During her retirement years, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Arliss enjoyed playing bingo, card games to include Texas Holdem and Progressive Rummy. She was a card shark just ask the members of the Buckeye Senior Center.
Her summers were spent with family in West Virginia, where she enjoyed visiting with everyone, yard sailing with Rick but her highlight was attending the family reunion out at Tomlinson Run State Park. Family will surely miss her spit fire attitude.
She is survived by her loving family, two daughters, Dawnna (Roy) Polmanteer of Newell and Kim Anders of Arizona; a son, Dean (Belinda) Anders of Arizona; twelve grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren.
Private arrangements were handled by the Nixon Funeral Home.
