Ruth Ann Peterson Hobbs, 88, of East Liverpool, passed away January 18, 2022.
Born October 29,1933 in East Liverpool, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Florence (Simonds) Cochran.
Ruth was a Christian by faith. She formerly worked for Rex's Sandwich Co. of Florida for thirty years.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emmett Peterson Jr.; second husband, Patrick Hobbs; two sons, John and James Peterson; three grandchildren, Arthur Rockwell, Shawn Peterson and Thomas Peterson; Eight sisters, Mildred Willis, Evelyn Board, Ruby Williams, Virginia Ratcliff, Grace Mobley, Betty Straight, Marie Cochran and Edith; three brothers, Harold, Gerald and Arthur Cochran.
Surviving are a son, Stephen (Sunday) Peterson of Tennessee; three daughters, Mary Huntsman, Naomi Logan and Esther Peterson, all of East Liverpool; fifteen grandchildren, Joseph, Robert, Teresa, Lititcha, Lisa, Patrick, Shad, Michelle, Christy, Michael, Jessica, Amber, John, Paul and Rachel; many great and great- great- grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Wolfe of East Liverpool.
Ruth never met a stranger; she was well loved by family and friends and will never be forgotten. Private arrangements were held by Nixon Funeral Home.
