CHESTER -- JoAnn M. Bailey, 81, of Chester, WV, passed away December 30, 2021.
Born May 23, 1940 in New Cumberland, WV, she was the daughter of the late Stewart and Dorothy (Logston) Mehaffey.
JoAnn was an Avon Representative for many years. She was a retired manager from Richardson Monument. She was a member of the Newell First Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving son, David Bailey and two sisters, Thelma Krier and Debbie Huzey.
Surviving are her loving and devoted husband, Richard Bailey of Chester; two daughters, Vicki (Ron) Heacock of Chester and Julie Bailey-Manz of Chester; a son, Michael (Cheryl) Bailey of New Jersey; six grandchildren, Justin, Megan, Marissa, Allison, Cameron and Lydia; three great-grandchildren, Mikeayla, Isabella and Kaleena; a sister, Evelyn Applegate of East Liverpool; a brother, Joe Mehaffey of New Cumberland.
Visitation is Sunday, January 2, from 1 – 4 p.m., at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, WV, where funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Monday, January 3, 2022
Interment will follow in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens, Newell, WV.
