Nancy S. Merriman, formerly of Chester and Wellsville, and more recently of Green Castle, Indiana, passed suddenly at the home of her daughter in Georgetown, Pa., on Sunday, Dec. 19, 2021.
A daughter of the late Walter and Mary Sue Reed Henthorne, she was born in East Liverpool on March 20, 1959.
Nancy's life was full of joy, raising her children, doting over her grandchildren, and sharing life's wonderful moments with her husband, William. She penned beautiful poetry, which her family will forever cherish. Nancy loved to craft, sew and crochet. She was a Christian and a 1977 graduate of Oak Glen High School.
Devastated by the suddenness of her loss, her surviving family includes her husband, William Merriman, who she married on May 16, 1998; her daughters, Jocelyn (Frank) Beaver of East Liverpool, Casey (Ted) Darnley of Georgetown, Pa., Beverly (Bob) Woolley of Chester, Andrea Simms of Cloverdale, Indiana, and Justin (April) Merriman of Green Castle, Indiana; her twin brother, Tim (Beth) Henthorne of Elizabethton, Tenn., and her sister, Lisa (Yogi) Bayer of Wellsville, Ohio. Also, Nancy leaves her loving grandchildren, Logan, Clayton, Teddy, Paige, Ayden, Robbie, Doedee, Katlyn, Holly, Lilly, Joseph, Emily, Kyle and Adam.
She was preceded in death by favorite dog, Susie.
Friends are invited to visit with the family at the Arner Funeral Chapel in Chester on Wednesday, Dec. 22, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A special time of remembrance with food and fellowship will be held at the American Legion in Chester on Wednesday between calling hours, from 4 to 6 p.m.
