Louis W. Swan, Jr.

EAST LIVERPOOL - Louis W. Swan, Jr., 83, of East Liverpool passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 and is now walking on streets of gold with his Lord and Savior.

Louis was born in Brave, PA on July 30, 1938 a son of the late Louis W. and Mabel (Cumberledge) Swan, Sr. He worked as an electrician at Crucible Steel then later as a salesman in Mickey's Men Store. Louis was a member of the East Liverpool Church of God where he served as an elder. His highest priority was serving Jesus and would ask you to listen to the words of 1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man. The things which God has prepared for those who love Him." Louis had the most beautiful singing voice and sang for many years traveling to the many churches that would request him to come sing. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan. Most of all Louis was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Louis was preceded in death by two brothers Jack Carlton Swan and Charles Darwin Swan and sister Naticia Swan Bruno.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, whom he married December 8, 1960, Pamela (McClellan) Swan; two daughters Melanie Hull and her husband Jeff of East Liverpool and Natalie Greenlee and her husband Robert of Clarksville, PA; three grandchildren Brent Alan Simmons of East Liverpool, Rachel Lindsay Greenlee of Clarksville, PA and Jordan Alana Simmons of Baden, PA; great grandson Elishah James Simmons and half-sister Dottie Snow Tubb of Nashville, TN.

Friends may visit Monday at the East Liverpool Church of God where the family will be present from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Pastor James Massie of the East Liverpool Church of God will conduct a funeral service Monday at 2 p.m. at the church.
