Alfred Paul Cochran

God sent his angels to bring one of his own to a heavenly reunion.

Alfred Paul Cochran,86, left this earthly life on Dec. 10,2021 after a sudden complication. He was born March 17, 1935, a son of the late Clayton and Beatrice (Parrish) Cochran.

Alfred leaves the love of his life behind, Bonnie (Landis) Cochran after 67 years of marriage; his daughter, Lavern Landess (fiance, Tim Foley) of Wellsville; three grandsons, Bo Landess (Jenna), Cody Landess (Michelle), Jake Landess (Sierra); four great-grandchildren, Kynslee Landess, Beckett Landess, Evie Landess and Claire Brown; and two sisters, Lucille Jackson and Joan Snyder.

He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Cochran; grandson, Zachery Paul Alfred Cochran; two sisters, Shirley Baker and Alice Lawson; and by two brothers, Hobert and Jerry Cochran

Alfred was a Marine who served in Korean War from 1954-1956. He retired from BOC Gases as Truck driver in 1997.

Alfred loved deer hunting every year with his grandsons. He was an avid trap shooter and a member of the Columbiana County Fish and Game Club.

There wasn't anything he couldn't fix, rig or make work.

Alfred was a member of the Heights Church, where he praised his Lord for past 35 years.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, from 3 p.m. until time of funeral service at 5 p.m. at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, W.Va. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post 121 and VFW Post 6450 Honor Guard.
