EAST LIVERPOOL -- Sheila A. Weyand, 73, of Ohio Avenue passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021 at 2:48 a.m. at the East Liverpool City Hospital while holding her husband's hand and surrounded by her loving family following a lengthy illness.
Born February 11, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Helen Smith Flierl. She spent most of her life in this area retiring from the Moderne Glass Company in 2010 as a shift supervisor.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond C. Weyand Sr., whom she married December 7, 1968, at home. There are two daughters, Lisa Felekey and her fiance, Scott Bigelow of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Kelly Matts and her husband, David of Citrus Heights, California; and two sons, Gene Hughes and his wife, Jodi of East Liverpool, Ohio and Raymond C. Weyand, Jr. and his wife Lisa of East Liverpool, Ohio.
She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, Josh Balmenti and his wife, Erin, Chelsea Pittenger and her fiance, Justin, Andrea Wasko, Cassie Felekey, Brittany Hughes, Zach Weyand and his wife, Amanda, Tara Matts, Adam Hughes and his wife, Jillian, Samantha Felekey-Martin and her husband, Ryan, Kyle Weyand and his fiancee, Samantha, Victoria Matts and Cory Weyand; and fifteen great-grandchildren, Kennidy, Aiden, Cameron, Valerie, Benjamin, Landon, Elena, Haylee, Adi, Aris, Jayden, Ko, Faith, Lucas and Avery.
There is also one sister, Gay Dennison of Salem, Ohio; and her nephew, Barry "Skinner" Weyand, Jr. whom she helped raise.
Besides her parents, she also was preceded in death by one sister, Linda English; two brothers, Gary Flierl and LeRoy Flierl; by her beloved son-in-law, Sam Felekey; and by her BINGO partner, Georgia Fitch.
A private family service was held at Sheila's request at the Dawson Funeral Home.
Burial is in Riverview Cemetery.
