EAST LIVERPOOL -- Richard C. "Dick" Conley, 94, of St. George Street passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at 5:19 a.m. at his residence following a lengthy illness.
Born June 28th, 1927 at East Liverpool, he was a son of the late James Clifford and Mabel Loyce Chamberlain Conley. He spent his lifetime in this area retiring in 1993 from the Hall China Company working in their payroll department.
A veteran of WWII serving with the United States Navy in Guam, he was a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church in East End where he once served as a Deacon and an Elder. A graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1945, he was a member of the ELHSAA and its "Old Guard". He also belonged to the Masonic Lodge #681, the American Legion Post #374, and was a proud member of the "Car Barn Heathens".
His wife, Florence J. "Flo" Mullen Conley, whom he married April 9, 1955 survives at home.
He also leaves behind one daughter, Dani Sue Hadley of East Liverpool, Ohio; and three sons, R. Christopher Conley of East Liverpool, Ohio, Steven J. Conley and his wife, Lori of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Brad R. Conley and his wife, Staci of McDonald, Ohio .
There are eight grandchildren, Megan Beagle and her husband, Jon, Nathan Conley and his wife, Stacey, Erin Garcia and her husband, Anthony, Sarah McCoy and her husband, Paul, Adam Hadley, Zachary Conley and Bailey Conley; eight great grandchildren, Isabell Perez, Alexander Garcia, Ethan Garcia, Cooper McCoy, Cameron Conley, Logan Conley, Jackson McCoy and Hayden Conley; and one great-great grandchild, Jaiven Perez.
In addition, he is survived by three sisters, Patricia Monday and her husband, Carol, Marty Tschannen and her husband, Larry, and Mary Forbes; one brother, David Conley and his wife, Susan; and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Conley.
Mr. Conley was preceded in death by one brother, John I. "Jack" Conley.
Friends may visit the family from 4 – 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. Pastor Norm Eckert of the Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a funeral service 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
