EAST LIVERPOOL - Kenneth E. Anderson, 88, of East Liverpool, passed away Sunday morning, November 14, 2021, at the Beaver Medical Center. He was 88.
Born in Strongsville, Pennsylvania, April 25, 1933, he was a son of the late Guy and Edna Smalley Anderson. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was a paratrooper during the Korean War. Kenny worked as a superintendent with Columbia Gas until his retirement. He was a member of the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church where he was an elder and a member of the building committee. He was also a member of the Chester American Legion Post 121 and the East Liverpool Mason Lodge 681. Kenny enjoyed golfing and bowling and was an avid Steelers fan.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lynn Allison Anderson, at home. He also leaves three daughters, Vickie Adams of East Liverpool, Lisa Jenkins and her husband, Steve, of Hammondsville, and Kimberly Hampson and her husband, Rob, of Glenmoor, as well as a son, Brian Allison and his wife, Rayna, of Calcutta. There are 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren, along with a sister, Marge Kampfer of Columbiana. Also left to cherish his memory are many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by two sisters, Daunice Jean Cox and Jessie Hartzell.
Rev. Dr. Vel Vais of the church will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Dawson Funeral Home. Friends may visit two hours prior to the service.
Burial will be at Columbiana County Memorial Park where the Chester VFW Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
Following the service, family and friends will gather at the Dawson Family Center for fellowship.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kenneth's memory to the Chester American Legion Post 121 to support the Children's Christmas Party, 404 Carolina Avenue, Chester, WV 26034.
