Hester E. Roszler

Hester E. Roszler (Dunn), 88, formerly of Midland, Pennsylvania, died peacefully in her sleep on November 12, 2021 during her short stay at Amherst Manor, in Amherst, Ohio. Hester was born on July 12, 1933 in East Liverpool, Ohio, to John and Angeline (Brockman) Dunn. Hester was a graduate of East Liverpool High School and was a member of Saint Blaise Parish Family.

Hester spent her life caring for her family. She enjoyed spending time with all of her family, playing cards, solitaire on her tablet, doing word search puzzles, watching soap operas and game shows and baking. Her specialties were pineapple pita and strawberry jam. Hester enjoyed traveling the world with her late husband, Joseph S. Roszler, Sr., of 65 years. They were lucky to be able to travel 49 states together and they also enjoyed going to casinos and flea markets together.

Hester was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph S. Roszler Sr., baby Roszler, brothers, Robert Dunn, Willis Dunn, Roy Dunn, sister Kathleen (Dunn) Peterson, brother-in-law, George L. Peterson, grandson, Bradley Roszler, and great-great grandson, Eliott.

Hester is survived by her children, Debbie Roszler, Joseph Roszler, Jr., John (Lisa) Roszler, Mary (Harold) Tanner, brother, John (Mary Ann) Dunn, sister-in-law, Charlotte Dunn, sister-in-law, Chun Dunn, brother-in-law, Anthony (Mary Anne) Ramos, sister-in-law, Grace Trevino, sister-in-law, Violet Trevino, sister-in-law, Cathie (Dave) Dopler, sister-in-law, Patricia (George) Paulides, sister-in-law, Margaret Roszler, sister-in-law, Nancy Dunn, and her grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Thursday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the blessing service at 1:30 p.m. in the D. L. Williams Funeral Home, 848 Midland Ave., Midland. Private internment to follow at Beaver Cemetery.
