NEGLEY, OHIO - Ralph J. "Jim" Walker, 82, of Negley passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, Oct. 1, 2021.
Jim was born in East Liverpool, Ohio Dec. 28, 1938 a son of the late Ralph J. "Skee" and Evelyn A. (Flora) Walker. He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School Class of 1956. Jim was a veteran proudly serving in the Army. He worked 23 years at Crucible Steel. Jim also worked at Quality Construction and Magneco Metrel in Negley. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jim was a member of East Liverpool Masonic Lodge 681, Middleton Township Fish and Game Club and Midland Sportsman Club.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years, whom he married Jan. 21, 1963, Mary (Hobbs) Walker; daughter Marsha Coakley and her husband Dave of Canfield; son Jeff Walker and his fiancee Wendy Woods of Westminster, Colo.; five grandchildren, Jessica Pidgeon and her husband Chet of Youngstown, Haley Magaa and her husband Adam of Poland, Abbie Leskovec and her husband Evan of Divide, Colo., Stefanie Walker of Los Angeles and Shane Walker of Columbus, Ohio; two great-grandchildren, Nina Pondillo and Vance Pidgeon; and sister Darlene Mercer and her husband Dale of East Liverpool.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Tuesday where the family will be present from 5 to 8 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. Evangelist Will Montgomery of St. Clair Avenue Church of Christ will conduct a service on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Mill Creek Hill Cemetery where Tri State Veterans Burial Group will provide military honors.
