KITTANNING -- Jessica Pickering Mangir, 32, of Kittanning, passed away Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 18, 1988, in Kittanning, to David Pickering and Lori Bissell Pickering.
Jessica was of the Lutheran faith. She was a graduate of Elderton High School and Cabrini College in Philadelphia, and received her Master's Degree in English Literture. She enjoyed playing piano, reading and was a Star Wars and Harry Potter fan. She was a lifelong resident of her community.
Survivors include her father and mother, of Kittanning; sister, Emily and Cameron Burns, of Greenville; paternal grandparents, John and Fran Pickering; aunts and uncles: Mike and Linda, Scott and Joanne, Sue, John and Diane, Mike and Vince; and a number of cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Donald and Diane Bissell; and brother, Matthew Pickering, who passed away May 24, 2014.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Mantini Funeral Home Inc., 701 Sixth Ave., Ford City.
Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. Thursday at the Emmanuel (Heilman) Lutheran Church until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Pastor Eric Damon officiating.
Interment will be in Ford City Cemetery.
