Ruth Guildoo Marx, 85 passed away on August 24 at the home of her son, Richard, in Los Angeles. She was 85 and surrounded by family. Ruth was born and raised in East Liverpool, and lived in the Chicago area most of her life. She was married to jingle writer and producer Dick Marx until his death in 1997. Ruth was a successful vocalist, singing on countless commercial jingles as well as doing vocals on her son's albums. She was a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother. In addition to Richard, Ruth leaves behind two brothers, three grandsons, and a great granddaughter.
