NEWELL, W.Va. --Joyce Kreider, 86, of Newell, passed away September 15, 2021.
Born in Newell, WV on January 17, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hazel (Smith) Parsons.
Joyce was a former girl scout, Cheerleader at Wells, during the state Championship. She had formerly worked for the FBI, Waterford Park Insurance and Payroll. Joyce was a co-founder of the Kennedy Park Marina. A former member of the Oak Glen Boosters, a former member of the Jr. Womens Club and Co-founder of the Newell Coffee Club (1998) and she was a member of the House of Prayer.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard "Dick" Kreider; a brother, Charles Parsons; a cousin, O.G, Britton; and also Tom DeBee and Pat Gilmore.
Surviving are her devoted daughter, Kim (Mike) Helman of Lisbon; a son, Jeff (Mary) Kreider of East Liverpool; granddaughter, Brandis (Bradley) Kosonovich of Newell, Leah (Rick) Prescott of East Liverpool; two great-grandchildren, Talia and Isaac, and her bonus, grandchild, Jeff Carson and great grandchild, Kayla Holmes; nephew, Rob (Nicole) Kreider of California; and also by her devoted canine companion, "Kami."
Visitation is Monday from 2-4 and 6-8p.m, at the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, WV, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11a.m with Pastor Bob Gadd officiating. Interment will follow in Columbiana County Memorial Park, East Liverpool, Ohio.
