EAST LIVERPOOL - Dorothy I. "Dottie" Wyer, 66 of East Liverpool, passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at 3 p.m. at the Hospice House following a lengthy illness. She was 66.
Born in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, February 14, 1955, a daughter of the late Merle C. Byers, Sr. and Patricia L. "Pat" Byers. Dottie was a member of the Center High School class of 1973 and attended Robert Morris University. Dottie made a career out of collecting and dealing in antiques.
She is survived by her husband, Ivan L. Wyer, at home. The couple married August 10, 1985. She is also survived by three sisters, Kim L. Byers of Beaver, Patti A. Weston of St. Petersburg, Florida, and Billie Jo Pace and her husband, Ricky, of Clinton, Louisiana, as well as a brother, Merle C. "Smokey" Byers, Jr. of Rochester, Pennsylvania.
In addition, she leaves two sisters-in-law, Wilda Craven of Acworth, Georgia, and Hilda Olesky and her husband, Tim, of Queensbury, New York, four nieces, Jamie Byers, Delia Weston, Ashley Olesky and Erin Ebbert, and three nephews, Stephen Pace and his wife, Kristen, Mark Olesky and his wife, Sheila, and Timothy Ebbert.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Susan A. Byers, and a niece, Amber Weston.
A private family memorial service will be conducted at a later date at the Dawson Funeral Home.
