EAST LIVERPOOL -- Carol Lynn Morgan Pyles Talbott of East Liverpool passed away at home surrounded by her family on September 22, 2021, after a courageous eight-year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born in Smiths Ferry, Pennsylvania on September 12, 1950, the eldest of six children of the late Frank Morgan and Helena Smith Morgan.
Carol graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1969, her class being the first class to graduate from the new school building on the hill. While her late husband, Larry Pyles, was in the service, they moved to Frankfurt, Germany and Colorado Springs, Colorado, before returning to East Liverpool.
She enjoyed being a homemaker and taking care of her beloved children. Whether it was a cross country adventure in the van or on the trike, Carol absolutely loved traveling the scenic routes with her loving husband, Ervin Ray Talbott, especially to see the Blue Ridge Mountains. An avid bowler, she played for the Cats and Dogs League at Friendly/Walnut Lanes and the Morning Glory League at Tri-State Lanes. She enjoyed sewing, dancing, and listening to music. She also loved Zumba class at the YMCA. Her 2007 Mustang GT was her baby and she loved to cruise in it.
Most of all, Carol loved spending time with her family and friends and they loved spending time with her. She had a special place in her heart for her granddaughter, Morgan Dana, whom was also her best friend and her great-grandson, Logan who was the Apple of Her Eye.
She was a fun, kind, and thoughtful person who will be deeply missed by all who knew her. All whom loved her dearly will never forget her grace, compassion, and undying love for them. She was an incredible person in all aspects of life.
She is survived by her husband Ervin Ray Talbott whom she married July 10, 2019; three children: Raymond Pyles, Bridgette Pyles, and Christy Pyles (John Moore); three grandchildren: James Lowther, Morgan Hornbeck (Luke Cartwright), and Zander Pyles; one great-grandchild, Logan Cartwright; stepsons and stepdaughters: Tammy (Dave) Steiger, Jacob Talbott (Kaitlyn Christine), Caleb Watson (Allura Bloome), Marci (Brent) Coakley, and Dana (Luke) McGuire; 25 step grandchildren and one step great- grandchild; three sisters: Connie (Rich) Hart, Cheryl (Don) Bodinar, Cassandra (Mike) Armstrong; and one brother: Gregory (Beth) Morgan; two brothers-in-law, Ron (Rose) Pyles and Bobby Sheets; many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her German Shepherd, Angel.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, Frank Morgan, on July 11, 2010 and recently by her mother, Helena Smith Morgan on June 23, 2021 and her sister Cynthia Morgan Hanlon on September 7, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Pyles on October 15, 1997 and brother-in-law, Don Pyles on December 16, 2016.
Friends may visit at the Dawson Funeral Home on Monday where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Norm Eckert of Beechwood Free Methodist Church will conduct a service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Calcutta Cemetery.
Carol's family would like to thank Dr. Rahman at Trinity Tony Teramana Cancer Center in Steubenville, Ohio, for his compassionate care, support, and determination throughout Carol's battle.
