Doris M. Beard, 77, of Steubenville, OH, formerly of East Liverpool, OH, passed away Monday August 9, 2021 at the Carriage Inn of Steubenville.
She was born November 23, 1943 in Wellsburg, WV, a daughter of the late Albert and Bertha (Swiger) Vandruff. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold T. Vandruff, Sr., John Vandruff and her twin infant brother, Ellsworth Vandruff; and two sisters, Virginia Bell and Ernestine Wiley.
Doris worked for Kentak Products in East Liverpool, OH for 25 years. She also worked for Ogden Newspapers in Lisbon, OH. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in East Liverpool, OH. She enjoyed planting flowers, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are her husband, Richard "Dick" Beard, Sr., whom she married on April 3, 1968; a son, Richard E. "Rich" (Jennifer) Beard, Jr. of Belmont, OH; a daughter, Christina "Tina" (Nicky) Krapanza of Imperial, PA; five grandchildren, Nicholas and Ava Krapanza and Olivia, Colleen and Josh Beard; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 712 Third St., Brilliant, OH on Monday August 16th from 5:00 p.m. until the time of her funeral service at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. James A. Hoff, officiating.
