Mark Jay ‘Herbie’ Kidder

EAST LIVERPOOL — Mark Jay “Herbie” Kidder, 59, of Etruria Street passed away Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at 3:21 p.m. at the Salem Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Born August 16, 1961 in East Liverpool, Ohio, he was a son of the late Thomas and Eva Louise McAdoo Kidder. A lifetime area resident, he had worked for the Homer Laughlin China Company for 28 years and more recently he was employed by the General Motors Company in Lordstown, Ohio.

He was a graduate of East Liverpool High School, was a member of the American Legion Post #374. As a youth, he participated in all of the area sports programs. Mark loved to watch NASCAR and attend music concerts. His favorite group was KISS and he went to their concerts over 100 times.

He leaves behind three sisters, Cynthia Mayers of East Liverpool, Marjorie Kidder of Lisbon, Ohio and Deborah Whittington and her husband, Richard of Salem, Ohio; and one brother, Jeffrey Kidder and his wife, Sherre of East Liverpool.

There are several nieces and nephews, Jason Whittington, Kristen Doolin and her husband, Jeff, Lalena Klingman and her husband, Jeff and Jeremy Hamilton; and numerous great nieces and nephews; as well as his best friend, his dog Mooch.

Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Kidder.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.

All of Mr. Kidder’s funeral arrangements were handled by the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio.
