CANTON -- John Jeffries, 84, of Canton, Ohio, passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2019.
Born in East Liverpool, Ohio on Dec. 21, 1935, he was the son of the late Ross and Margaret (Humphries) Jeffries.
John served in the United States Army. He formerly worked at Homer Laughlin.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter; two brothers, Richard, and Gary Jeffries; and a sister, Mary Linkous.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy (Snyder) Jeffries of Canton; four sons, John Jeffries Jr. of New York, Charles Jeffries of East Liverpool, Jeffrey (Angela) Jeffries of East Liverpool and Eric (Victoria) Kester of New Cumberland; four daughters, Margaret Jackson and Kathleen (William) Arko of New York, Dorothy (Jim) Ashcraft of Florida and Rowena (Charles) Stockman of Canton; 12 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Ross (Brenda) Jeffries and Tom (Barbara) Jeffries of East Liverpool; three sisters, Barbara Blystone, Marjorie McKinnon of East Liverpool and Carolyn Clark of Hammondsville.
Private arrangements were handled by the Nixon Funeral Home, Newell, WV.
